National average at 42% (2 points above critical level), 9 Regions far exceed it, Marche at 65%
Rome, 22 March (beraking latest news Salute) – The national average percentage of the occupation of Covid beds in ordinary wards of non-critical areas – that is, infectious diseases, pulmonology and general medicine – has been gradually increasing for 4 days. Remained for months below the critical threshold, set at 40% by the Ministry of Health, last March 18 the level beyond which the ordinary assistance of other patients is compromised was exceeded, and after 3 days at 41%, yesterday – last available data provided by the Agency for Health Services (Agenas) – 42% was reached.
In particular, there are 9 Regions that pass it: the most critical situation is that of the Marche which sees these departments occupied for 65% by Covid patients, followed by Piedmont (59%), Emilia Romagna (55%), Lombardy ( 52%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (47%), Puglia (46%), Abruzzo and Molise (45%), Umbria (43%).
