Covid, quick swab in the pharmacy: when it can be done and for whom it is free – breaking latest news

Bologna, 18 February 2022 – The rules on Covid and tampons change all the time and the quick test took on a more important role, than before, to get out of quarantines and isolations. One of the most recurring doubts of citizens in this regard is when it is possible to perform the rapid nasal antigen test in the pharmacy and what is the procedure to be started. First, it is good to point out that if you have symptoms of Covid, you can not enter the pharmacy to perform the quick test. It is possible, therefore, only if one is asymptomaticie the rules change from case to case.

Summary

If a person is asymptomatic and, for the most varied reasons – which go beyond close contact with a Covid case -, he wants to check whether or not he has the virus and do a quick swab, he can book it and run it in pharmacy for a fee.

Swab result

– If the result is negative is free from Covid and does not start no process.
If, however, it should be positivethe result is rregistered on the “Pharmacy Portal” and on the “Health Card System” for the purpose of updating the Green pass. For the person who tested positive, start theisolation; he must inform the attending physician andAslin turn, must open the case with the taking charge. At this point, the infected also books the end of insulation testthe count starts from the day following the date of the buffer.

End of insulation test
The date on which to carry it out differs depending on whether the infected person falls within one or the other of the following types:

1) The end of insulation test is fixed after 7 days from the date of the swab if the infected person has carried out the booster dose or primary vaccination course for less than 120 days or has been cured of Covid for less than 120 days.

2) It’s fixed after 10 days from the date of the swab if the infected is not vaccinated; has not completed the primary vaccination course or has completed it for less than 14 days; has been vaccinated with two doses for more than 120 days or has been cured of Covid for more than 120 days.

But be careful: the test can only be performed in a pharmacy if the infected person has remained asymptomatic or has not shown symptoms for at least three daysotherwise you will have to cancel the appointment.

The person in quarantine can reserve a quick antigenic swab of end quarantine which is free for those assisted by the Emilia-Romagna Region and in possession of the initial quarantine certification by the ASL.

Reservation

The date on which you can book it varies depending on whether you belong to one or the other of these two categories:

Swab result

– If the result is negative the person in quarantine is free from Covid and the pharmacy, after printing the result of the test, records it on the “Pharmacy Portal”, directly determining the termination of the quarantine regime. No further certification from the ASL is required.

– if it is positive, the result is recorded on the “Pharmacy Portal”, the ASL opens the case with taking charge and begins isolation. The infected person books the end isolation swab according to the criteria already listed for asymptomatic people. If, however, it should become, during the isolation, symptomatic, you should contact your doctor and will not be able to go to the pharmacy during the presence of symptoms to perform swabs.

The infected can book a isolation fast-closing antigenic pad: must be in possession of the certification of initiation of isolation by the ASL or theself-certification from previous positive test, resulting on the form of the Emilia-Romagna Region. The antigen test is free for those assisted by the Emilia-Romagna Region.

End of insulation test
Also in this case the roads differ according to whether they belong to one or the other of these two categories:

Swab result

– If it’s negative, the infected is free from Covid. The pharmacy records the outcome on the “Pharmacy Portal” which determines, within 24 hours, directly by the ASL, the certificate of closure of the insulation and the reactivation of the Green pass. While waiting for the generation of the end of isolation document, the negative swab certificate released by the pharmacy is deemed valid and allows the user to move freely.

– If it is positive: the pharmacy records the result on the “Pharmacy Portal” e the isolation continues. The infected person books an additional swab seven days after the last closure test performed. If it is still positive, no further tests are required as the closure of the isolation is in any case foreseen a 21 days. Any swabs, in addition to the first two performed with the established timing, are borne by the user.

In Emilia Romagna, whoever – as long as he is registered with the regional health care system – he can carry out the rapid nasal antigen test (rapid swab) and the serological test in affiliated pharmacies at the controlled price of 15 euro. Even in Emilia Romagna today is the last day in which it is possible, for the students of the middle and high schools in self-supervision (as close contacts of positives) and without symptoms, perform rapid antigen tests free at the pharmacy.

If until today students of primary and secondary schools of first and second grade in autosorveglianzaso long as asymptomatic, they could go to the pharmacy with the prescription of the general practitioner or pediatrician of free choice and carry out the test free of charge (at a cost to be borne by the Commissioner Structure), from tomorrow, March 1, the free swab for these categories remains, but it will no longer be possible to perform it in the pharmacy. In fact, it will be necessary to book it, always with the request of the pediatrician or general practitioner and carry it out at the delivery points defined by the single Ausl.
