LONDON. Nothing is official yet. But the UK is considering making the Coronavirus vaccine for nurses, health workers and doctors, for now those serving in nursing homes for the elderly, the most vulnerable category. This is because if almost 95% of British RSA patients accepted the administration of the Pfizer or AstraZeneca preparation, only 75% of the staff who take care of them in the dedicated facilities did so. A number that worries the British Ministry of Health, as revealed by the Telegraph, which wrote how now the administration of the vaccine to nurses and health workers in nursing homes could become mandatory.
“We haven’t made a final decision yet,” said UK Health Minister Matt Hancock, “but our vaccine taskforce is looking into this possibility.
