There are 6,503 coronavirus infections in Italy today, 1 September 2021, according to covid-19 data – region by region – in the bulletin of the Ministry of Health. Since yesterday, another 69 deaths have been recorded. Since the beginning of the emergency, 4,546,487 people have been infected by COVID while 129,290 have died. 303,717 the swabs between molecular and antigenic carried out in the last 24 hours, the positivity rate is 2.1%. 4 fewer hospitalized in intensive care with coronavirus counting the discharged, for a total of 540 patients. The admissions of the day are 40. There are also a decrease of patients with symptoms that are 4,231 in total, 21 fewer in 24 hours.
4,280,619 have been cured since the start of the pandemic, 7,774 in the last 24 hours. Currently positive people are 1,347 fewer, i.e. people with covid-19 followed by the national health system. In total today in Italy there are 136,578 positive people at Sars Cov2.
THE REGIONS BULLETIN
SICILY – There are 1,155 new coronavirus infections in Sicily according to today’s bulletin, 1 September. Also recorded 27 other deaths. Sicily is still the first Italian region for cases. 20,959 swabs processed. The incidence rises to 5.3 yesterday was 5.1%. The current positives are 28,300 with a decrease of 143 cases. The healed are 1,271 while there are another 27 victims which bring the total deaths to 6,369. The deaths reported today are: 6 died on 30 August, 5 on 29 August, 5 on 28 August and 3 on 27 August. On the hospital front there are now 950 hospitalized, 9 more than the previous day while in intensive care there are 114, three fewer than yesterday. On the contagion front in the individual provinces, the situation is as follows: Palermo 206, Catania 237, Messina 253, Syracuse 140, Ragusa 5, Trapani 153, Caltanissetta 55, Agrigento 52, Enna 54.
LOMBARDY – There are 688 new coronavirus infections in Lombardy according to today’s bulletin, 1 September. In addition, another 6 deaths have been recorded, thus raising the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 33,923. Compared to 50,244 swabs carried out, the swabs / positive ratio stood at 1.3%. Intensive care admissions are on the rise: 46 (+1) while patients not admitted to intensive care are 359 (+6). There are 238 new Covid positives recorded in Milan in the last 24 hours, of which 103 in Milan city.
As for the other provinces of Lombardy, 30 new cases are recorded in Bergamo, in Brescia 83, in Como 45, in Cremona 12, in Lecco 19, in Lodi 15, in Mantua 23, in the province of Monza and Brianza 70, in Pavia 43, in Sondrio 18 and in Varese 55.
CAMPANIA – There are 491 coronavirus infections in Campania today, 1 September 2021, according to the covid-19 data of the region’s bulletin. 5 other deaths reported. New cases were identified on 19,386 tests. There are 373 covid patients hospitalized in a non-critical area. In intensive care, on the other hand, 22 people.
LAZIO – There are 350 coronavirus infections in Lazio today, 1 September 2021, according to data from the region’s covid-19 bulletin. Since yesterday, 3 deaths have been registered. In Rome, 108 cases reported. In detail, out of 6,744 swabs in Lazio and 14,590 antigenic for a total of 21,334 tests, there are 350 new positive cases (+67), 92 fewer cases compared to Wednesday 25 August, 3 deaths (-2), 448 hospitalized (-14), 71 intensive care (-1) and 838 recovered.
The ratio of positives to buffers is 1.6%. “Hospitalizations and intensive care are decreasing, cases are decreasing on a weekly basis, confirming the effectiveness of the vaccination campaign”, observes Councilor Alessio D’Amato. In Lazio 4 million citizens have completed the vaccination process, 77% of the entire population over 12 years is immunized.
PUGLIA – There are 298 coronavirus infections in Puglia today, 1 September 2021, according to the covid-19 data of the region’s bulletin. One dead recorded. The positives were detected on 16,873 tests. The 80 new cases in the province of Lecce and the 79 in the province of Bari stand out. The people currently positive are 4,500. Covid patients hospitalized in the medical area are 234. In intensive care, 20 people.
EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 383 coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna today, 1 September 2021, according to the covid-19 data of the region’s bulletin. There are 2 deaths. The new cases were identified out of a total of 30,724 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 1.2%.
The average age of new positives today is 34.9 years. Of the 138 asymptomatic, 72 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 1 with serological screening, 38 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 11 with pre-hospitalization tests. An epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 16 cases.
As for the total number of people healed, they are 546 more than yesterday and reach 383,164.
The active cases, ie the actual patients, are 15,733 to date (-166 compared to yesterday). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are a total of 15,295 (-153), 97.2% of the total active cases.
In total, there have been 13,371 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic. There are 51 patients admitted to intensive care (+1 compared to yesterday), 387 those in the other Covid departments (-14).
ABRUZZO – Coronavirus infections in Abruzzo are 110 (aged between 1 and 95 years) today, 1 September 2021, according to data from the region’s bulletin. There is one death: the death occurred in recent days, but was only communicated today by the ASL. Since yesterday another 74 recovered. The currently positives in Abruzzo (calculated by subtracting the number of discharged / cured and deceased from the total of positives) are 2,231, the total also includes 398 cases concerning patients lost to follow-up since the beginning of the emergency, on which they are verification course (+30 compared to yesterday).
87 patients (-2 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in the medical area; 6 (-1 compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 2,138 (+33 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. In the past 24 hours, 3,215 molecular swabs and 4,429 antigen tests were performed. The positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigen tests of the day, is equal to 1.43 percent.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA – There are 141 coronavirus infections in Friuli Venezia Giulia today, 1 September 2021, according to data from the region’s covid-19 bulletin. Recorded 2 more deaths. In detail, 127 new positives were detected out of 5,656 molecular swabs (including 7 migrants / asylum seekers: 5 in the Trieste area and 2 in the Udine area) with a positive percentage of 2.25%. There are also 4,276 rapid antigenic tests performed from which 14 cases (0.33%) were detected. Today there are 2 deaths: a 92-year-old woman from Trieste and an 83-year-old woman from Cormons, both of whom died at the Trieste hospital. The number of people hospitalized in intensive care has dropped to 12 and 53 are hospitalized in other departments. This was announced by the deputy governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.
As far as the regional health system is concerned, the positivity of a nurse from the Western Friuli health authority was found. There is also a contagion among the operators of residential structures for the elderly in the Udine area and 5 infections among the guests in the Trieste area.
PIEDMONT – There are 259 coronavirus infections in Piedmont today, 1 September 2021, according to the covid-19 data of the region’s bulletin. There are no deaths. In detail, the new cases (of which 25 after antigenic tests) are equal to 1.2% of 21,409 swabs performed, of which 15,532 antigenic. Of the 259 new positives, 85 were asymptomatic (32.8%).
There are 17 hospitalized in intensive care (+3 compared to yesterday). Non-intensive care patients are 163 (+10 compared to yesterday). There are 3,393 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 6,444,081 (+21,409 compared to yesterday), of which 2,026,034 were negative. A total of 361,504 patients recovered (+296 compared to yesterday).
TUSCANY – There are 538 coronavirus infections in Tuscany today, 1 September 2021, according to data from the region’s bulletin anticipated by governor Eugenio Giani. Recorded 7 more deaths. “The new cases registered in Tuscany are 538 out of 15,991 tests of which 9,501 molecular swabs and 6,490 rapid tests. The rate of new positives is 3.36% (8.0% on the first diagnoses)”, writes Giani on social media, adding that the vaccines currently administered in the region are 4,865,110.
New cases are 0.2% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 0.3% and reached 253,802 (93.4% of total cases). Today 9,501 molecular swabs and 6,490 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 3.4% were positive. On the other hand, 6,687 subjects tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 8% were positive. The current positives are today 10,981, -1.3% compared to yesterday. There are 466 hospitalized patients (7 fewer than yesterday), of which 51 are in intensive care (3 fewer).
VENETO – There are 691 coronavirus infections in Veneto today, 1 September 2021, according to the covid-19 data of the region’s bulletin. Recorded 2 more deaths. The total number of infected people is now 455,494, that of victims 11,689. In terms of hospital admissions, the number of patients remains stable: with 232 (-2) hospitalized in ordinary wards and 54 (+1) in intensive care. The people currently positive and in isolation in the region are 12,795 (-109).
SARDINIA – There are 389 coronavirus infections in Sardinia today, 1 September 2021, according to data from the region’s covid-19 bulletin. Another 3 deaths were recorded: these are a man and a woman, aged 79 and 94, residing in the Province of Sassari and a man of 78, residing in the Province of Southern Sardinia. There are 8,277 tests processed between molecular and antigenic. The hospitalized patients are 230 (-10), 24 (-3) in intensive care. There are 7,281 people in home isolation (122 fewer than yesterday).
