Covid, vaccines and breast cancer: what you need to know

by admin

WE ARE now in phase 2 of the anti-Covid vaccination plan and this week vaccinations have also begun for cancer patients, with the Lazio region leading the way. But there are still many doubts of women with breast cancer. “Is the vaccine safe for patients? Who is entitled to priority access? And what is the best time to get the vaccine for those who are undergoing chemotherapy?”

We have collected some of these questions about vaccinating women undergoing treatment for early and metastatic breast cancer and have addressed them to Lucia Del Mastro, coordinator of the Breast Unit of the San Martino Polyclinic in Genoa. You can read the answers tomorrow, in our newsletter (here the link to register for free and receive it in your email).
