Recently, the TESS satellite discovered a multi-planet system only 33 light-years away from the solar system. Two terrestrial planets are led by an M dwarf star. The main mission goal of NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) is to investigate whether stars within 300 light-years of the Earth have planets, and to analyze the habitable zone in the system, the mass, size, density, orbit of the planet Wait, if there are objects worthy of further exploration, they will be handed over to the Webb Space Telescope and other future telescopes for observation.

Recently, the TESS satellite discovered the M-type red dwarf star HD 260655 and two new exoplanets HD 260655 b and HD 260655 c at a distance of only 33 light-years from the solar system. Ships can travel at one-tenth the speed of light, and it takes about 330 years to reach this system.

The inner planet orbits HD 260655 once every 2.8 days and is about 1.2 times the size of the Earth and twice the mass of the Earth; the outer planet orbits HD 260655 once every 5.7 days and is about 1.5 times the size and 2 times the mass of the Earth. Earth 3 times. Because they are both very close to their host stars, they are basically too hot to maintain liquid water, and calculations suggest that both may reach temperatures of 436°C and 286°C.

But the system is still worthy of further exploration by scientists, such as using the Webb Space Telescope to investigate whether the planet has an atmosphere or even an ozone layer, whether it contains water molecules, carbon molecules or other components, and there may even be more planets in the system that have yet to be discovered.
