Women of childbearing age are not always properly informed about the side effects of Sugammadex, a drug commonly used during awakening from general anesthesia that can interfere with the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives. This is revealed by a research presented by the anesthesiologists of the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust during the course of Euroanaesthesia, the recent annual meeting of the European Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care.
