Built by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Ohio between 1937 and 1938, Elektro stood just over two meters tall and weighed approximately 113 kg. The robot was unveiled at the 1939 New York World‘s Fair and then traveled across North America to advertise Westinghouse in the 1950s.
