by admin

There is no calendar yet, but it will come soon. Meanwhile, the interest we registered for the meeting with Elon Musk as part of Italian Tech Week it is already huge, with dozens of emails and messages. We will not be able to answer everyone, so we decided to explain the mechanism by which you can participate in Italian Tech Week, which – we remember – is scheduled in Turin from 23 to 24 September. A second edition in attendance, after the debut in 2019 and the forced interruption of last year due to a pandemic.

Elon Musk will be the special guest of Italian Tech Week

by Bruno Ruffilli

What is that
The goal of Italian Tech Week is to bring together the brightest minds of the international tech scene to inspire and activate those who believe in a future where technology and creativity help expand the possibilities of men and women. Understanding the changes that have contributed to building the present and imagining those that await us is therefore of fundamental importance to design the future, which – especially after a global crisis such as that triggered by the pandemic – is full of challenges as well as opportunities, in every field. . And ITW aims to have an impact on the entire ecosystem of Italian innovation.

First day
The space will be that of the OGR of Turin, the center of innovation made in Piedmont, which on the first day will welcome speakers from all over the world to talk about the international tech scene, with a particular focus on the Italian ecosystem. Startups, investors, venture capitalists, large companies at the forefront of innovation. as well as institutions, media and authorities will be present. Admission is free but not open to everyone: the organization has already drawn up a list of representative startups, according to objective criteria (funding over one million euros, from various production sectors, etc.), and the remaining places are very limited. Besides the startups will be invited representatives of the main Italian and European venture capitalist funds, media and institutions.

The Sala Fucine delle OGR can accommodate a maximum of 500 people according to current regulations, but it is not excluded that they may increase if the pandemic slows down its course. For the others (but always in limited numbers) there will be an “experience” area in the internal courtyard of the structure, where it will be possible to follow the meetings on a giant screen, try out technological gadgets and latest generation tech experiences. And of course networking: after a lot of remote work it will be nice to talk to each other again, looking each other in the eye.

Second day
The second day is dedicated to Corporate Innovation: After an overview of the main trends, there will be events dedicated to emerging technological trends and in-depth sessions on the future of specific sectors. Above all, it will be the day of Elon Musk, in conversation with John Elkann (president and CEO of Exor and president of Ferrari and Stellantis) on the subject of technology and its impact on our future.

Some of those who receive the invitation for the first day will also access the second, but here the space dedicated to media, sponsors and institutions will be greater. The total number of admitted admissions obviously remains unchanged, but it must be borne in mind that there will be a waiting list for places that need to be vacated at the last minute.
