Elon Musk’s private jet landed in Rome

The jet of Elon Musk landed in Rome. According to the Twitter account ElonJet, which tracks the movements of the Tesla owner’s private jet N628TS using Adsb Exchange data, he would have landed at Ciampino airport around 1pm this afternoon.

The account, considered reliable thanks to the open source data used, also specifies that the plane of Elon Musk’s brother would also land in Italy, Kimbal, but at the Venice airport at 16.30 in the afternoon. In fact, Kimbal’s jet also has a Twitter account that automatically reveals and publishes its movements.

The hypothesis currently circulating among account followers is that Musk came to Italy to celebrate his birthday: the entrepreneur was born in Pretoria, South Africa, on June 28, 1971. He therefore recently completed 51 years old. At the moment there is no certainty that the two brothers have landed with their planes. There are no photos or confirmations on the social networks. But, considering that so far the planes have been used by the two brothers for their personal and business trips, there is little doubt about it.

Elon Musk’s plane would have departed from Austin, Texas, and would have taken 9 hours and 42 minutes to reach Ciampino, traveling 5,786 miles and consuming 18,490 liters of fuel, for an emission of C02 equal to 52 tons. All data published by the account that collects open world aviation data.

Last year Elon Musk paid a visit to Florence. It was August 11th. Then the same Twitter account had announced the trip of the entrepreneur’s private jet, who in fact then visited the city with his wife Grimes. The confirmation came a few hours later on Twitter, where Mayor Dario Nardella posted a video with Tesla’s number one.
