In the middle of last November, the discovery of a terrible evil, which he fought with the courage and tenacity typical of his character. A path of treatment, which started with a long and difficult surgery, which Paroli himself wanted to tell in a long and touching interview in the Tyrrhenian Sea at the beginning of last January. His goal: “To send a message of hope”, as he himself explained to the reporter during the interview.

Paroli was born on August 13, 1940 in Certaldo. And he had arrived very young on the coast. In fact, his father, who was an engineer, had been hired as a manager at the chemical plant. So the family moved to Rosignano Solvay. In his home he had breathed an interest in politics since he was a boy. His father had founded, in the 1950s, the Rosignano headquarters of the Christian Democrats. After attending the classical high school in Livorno, he graduated in Medicine in Siena, with a specialization in dental technology. It was in Rosignano, in Piazza della Repubblica, that he had opened his dental office, which over the years has become a point of reference for the citizens of the coast. Later he also started a second studio in Livorno. Also note his sons Marco, also a dentist, and Matteo, who in September will become general secretary of the Port System Authority of Livorno. Medicine was not Vincenzo Paroli’s only passion. From the end of the nineties he had been president of the Canova association in Cecina for a decade.
