Baking soda is an inexpensive product, which we usually all have at home and easily available on supermarket shelves and pharmacies.
It is made up of a very fine white powder, and its uses are truly endless.
Considered among the best remedies for grandmothers and used for washing clothes, for leavening bread and many other foods, to disinfect wounds, to relieve foot pain after a long walk, as an antacid or to digest; and much more. Few people know that baking soda is not only used for cooking and cleaning, in fact, it can also be used to “treat” and alleviate the discomfort and itching of hemorrhoids.
What are hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are a real pathology, many people suffer from them all over the world. It is very annoying and sometimes becomes so painful that it requires medical attention. They are located in the middle of the anal canal and are made up of vascular tissue, connective tissue, fibers and collagen.
Their function consists in the maintenance and containment of faeces.
Unfortunately, hemorrhoids are prone to irritation, and when this happens we try to find an immediate solution that can alleviate the discomfort.
Among the various natural remedies, in addition to for example immersing the part in warm water, we have bicarbonate. Thanks to its disinfectant and refreshing power, it is able to reduce the discomfort and itching that this pathology generally entails.

A remedy for hemorrhoids is to immerse the anus in special trays purchased at the pharmacy, or in the bidet water. Just fill the tray with warm water and add two tablespoons of baking soda. You will immediately get a feeling of freshness and relief. This operation can be repeated several times a day, depending on the severity.
If we have internal and external hemorrhoids, internal washing with water and bicarbonate can be carried out once a week.
Baking soda can also be used for the prevention of hemorrhoids.
Just alternate water and bicarbonate in daily washing, and the intimate cleanser that we normally use.
