Fire in the night in a school in Torrevecchia. The flames at the Alberto Sordi school in via Taggia destroyed the gymnasium and damaged the first floor of the building, closed as it has been undergoing renovations for years.
The request for intervention to the fire brigade shortly before midnight on Saturday 1st January. The wooden roof of the gym in via Taggia caught fire, with the flames that enveloped the structure in a few minutes. The firefighters who put out the fire and the officers of the Aurelio police station intervened on the spot.
The causes of the fire have to be ascertained. At work there are the investigators of the Primavalle district of police who at the moment do not exclude any hypothesis, from the malicious act to the accidental fire, perhaps caused by the launch of a firecracker. The gym was declared uninhabitable.
