A more advanced health and fitness tracker that will help fitness enthusiasts (for example) keep tabs on your fitness, stress, heart health, and overall well-being. Google has finally announced the Fitbit Charge 5. Compared to the previous model there are several new features.
“Over the past year we have endured illness, loss, increased stress and changes with sleep, diet and exercise. As a result, we have been forced to become stronger and more resilient ”. The Mountain View giant presents it like this, with something philosophical about it: “Strength has taken on new meaning for most, and being strong in today’s world is more than what we can lift or how fast we can run. It is also what the mind and body can manage ”.

Fitbit Charge 5 differs from its other “siblings” by one updated and improved design, but especially for a color AMOLED screen. Brighter touchscreen and up to seven days of battery life (varies with use), the Charge 5 offers the practical features you need to focus on what’s most important: health. With the new Fitbit Premium Daily Readiness experience, also coming to Sense, Versa 3, Versa 2, Luxe and Inspire 2 devices, Google’s Charge 5 allows you to understand, for example, if we are ready for a workout, or is recovery time. Each morning you will receive a score based on physical fatigue (activity), heart rate variability (HRV) and recent sleep, including an analysis of how that particular score has matured, not forgetting the always useful tips.

Beyond premium content, Charge 5 also includes built-in GPS, 20 session modes, automatic training recognition and an estimate of your V02 max. With Premium, on the other hand, you can reach more than 200 types of training sessions, developed by certified trainers and famous brands: Daily Burn, barre3, obé and LES MILLS. The first six months of Fitbit Premium are included in the starting price € 179.99, after which the Premium will cost € 8.99 per month. From an aesthetic point of view, however, Charge 5 is made up of an aluminum, glass and resin case. Silicone strap. The sides of the frame are curved, while the thickness is 10% less than that of the Charge 4. No buttons, silver stripes along the two sides hide the sensors for the electrocardiogram (which detects atrial fibrillation) and electrodermal activity or galvanic skin response (indicating the level of stress).

Other functions include sensors to measure heartbeat, blood oxygen saturation, body temperature and sleep quality. There is also GPS, so it is not necessary to connect to the smartphone. The NFC chip allows you to make contactless payments with Fitbit Pay. Italian users can already order it on the official website, although it should be shipped by the end of September.
