Fly me away, spoiled boy meets sickness – Last Hour

by admin

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 03 – After the success of I RAGAZZI DEL CORO, the Parisian director Christophe Barratier returns to theaters with VOLAMI VIA, co-produced by Palomar and in cinemas from August 19 distributed by I Wonder Pictures and Unipol Biografilm Collection.

What does the film tell? The story of a redemption, that of Thomas (Victor Belmondo, nephew of Jean-Paul), a young man in his thirties too spoiled and a bummer with a wealthy and distracted father. The road to maturity of this boy, capable of landing with his spider in the swimming pool of his house, has a name: Marcus, twelve years old (the talented newcomer Yoann Eloundou), a seriously ill teenager. For Thomas who does not work, but only plays every day, a stop arrives from his doctor father who at a certain point entrusts him with Marcus, a severely disabled patient of his who should be helped. A pact is thus established between son and father: if Thomas is unable to take care of Marcus, he will have to leave home and begin to fend for himself for the first time in his life. Now, the task entrusted to Thomas is not easy: that of being close to the disease and to a fragile young man who could become the victim of every strong emotion, but it is inevitable that even in the difference the two understand each other and in the end help each other complement each other.

“The beauty is that this incredible story is true – says the director – or the chance meeting of two characters who are basically both disabled in the struggle for life”. (HANDLE).
