On the occasion of the Piadina Festival, on Sunday at the Palacongressi in Bellaria, the Forlì-based company E-Keto Food presents the first ketogenic gourmet piadina. A presentation that will take place during the first European event on the science of ketones and which will then allow you to taste the ketogenic wraps filled to perfection, even for vegetarians.

First of all, however, we need to understand what the ketogenic diet is. It is a nutritional strategy based on the reduction of carbohydrates, a diet that therefore aims to reduce weight. In summary, the process of this diet is quite simple: by removing the calories derived from carbohydrates from the body, the body begins to burn the accumulated fats. The scheme of the ketogenic diet, therefore, provides for a drastic reduction of carbohydrates in one’s diet, many fats and a moderate amount of protein.

But how do you make a carbohydrate-free flatbread? “It was not at all easy to make this ketogenic flatbread, given the particular ingredients such as coconut oil – explains the naturopath Dino Sintoni – We carried out several tests, and we arrived at a perfect formulation that makes our ketogenic flatbread inimitable, with very good and almost no carbohydrates … and a lot of good fats “.

The president of E-Keto Food Alessandro Zaccheroni adds: “In an event, in which we will talk about a ketogenic lifestyle and health benefits, we decided to create a product of excellence, such as piadina, so linked to the Romagna area . We are proud to have been able to create a ketogenic gourmet piadina, which we strongly desired, on the occasion of the Bellaria Piadina Festival. ” This type of products also have a dedicated app, SoKeto.

Today the ketogenic diet is being tried by more and more people for its effectiveness in losing weight. However, as often in the weight loss and nutrition industry, some controversial aspects and conflicting theories remain. The Umberto Veronesi Foundation, in fact, underlines “that this is not an easy regimen to follow. In fact, it is enough to ‘overstretch’ even a little in terms of carbohydrates to induce the body to block ketosis and use its favorite energy source again. : sugars – and moreover – there is no evidence that, in the long run, the results obtained are better and more lasting than those achieved with a balanced diet “.
