For Talent Garden comes the Google time

by admin

For many startups, usually those aiming to become big, the time comes – Google: it is the moment when the founders see that their initial idea has come true, they understand that they have done a lot and realize that different skills are needed to grow further.

In 2001, Larry Page and Sergey Brin decided to entrust the leadership of the company, the post of CEO, to Eric Schmidt who was many years older than them (46) and a solid experience as a manager of technology companies and who would keep that position until 2011, when Google had already taken off. With due proportions, the same is happening at Talent Garden. The startup of Davide Dattoli and Lorenzo Maternini debuts with the first Tag on December 1, 2011: exactly ten years ago. At that time coworking was an unknown word in Italy, but already widely used in the United States: in fact, it presupposes the creation of space to work, meet and learn. An office, but without barriers, flexible, even nice and within anyone’s reach. The first makes its debut in Brescia, the hometown of the two, with a formula often repeated later: the recovery of post-industrial spaces regenerated by sustainable and young architecture. 10 years after that debut, after having created the largest European network of coworking spaces, Talent Garden has a new CEO: her name is Irene Boni, 40 years old, a graduate with a masters degree from Columbia, after a move to Procter & Gamble and McKinsey, for 10 years was in Yoox Net-a-Porter, of which she was co-general manager. In short, as they say, ā€œhe has a long and important experience in the world of digital and business organizationā€.

The arrival of Irene Boni comes at a turning point: Talent Garden has just completed the acquisition of Hyper Island, founded in Sweden 25 years ago and today a major player in digital business education in Europe. In short, with this acquisition is a candidate to become the great school of digital skills related to work. Davide and Lorenzo obviously remain at the helm alongside Irene Boni (executive president and vice president respectively): I know them well, I have followed their rise, their immediate success and I have seen them overcome some difficult moments. In short, I learned to appreciate them and in this move I recognize their talent: to grow you must have the best in the team and to teach you must continue to learn. This it’s Google-time for Tag, we wish you so.
