Two minors were stopped by the agents of the Bagheria police station for having entered the gymnasium of the Giosuè Carducci middle school in via Cesareo during the night, together with a group of other boys. After breaking open the front door, they turned the facility upside down, rummaging through lockers and moving sports equipment.

The agents, suspicious of the movement intercepted in the school square, turned off the cars and approached on foot, catching the young people in the act.

A group of boys managed to escape, but the policemen managed to stop the two minors as they tried to climb over the fence to escape. Taken to the police station, they were reported and, investigated on the loose, returned to their parents.

The damage is still to be quantified but police intervention prevented the gym from being completely vandalized.

The police, in fact, have prepared a prevention plan for the summer that specifically provides for the passage in front of schools because, during the holiday periods, they can be places of raids and reckless youth raids.
