From 19 March to 4 April, Easter eggs to support Ail research

by admin

The smiling faces of Riccardo Rossi, Roberta Lanfranchi, Euridice Axen, Pippo Baudo, Francesco Totti and many others. They are not expressions of circumstance and certainly these men and women are not laughing because they have two Easter eggs in their arms and they fly with their minds to the superfine and comforting taste of chocolate. They are TV and cinema characters portrayed in a moment of authentic joy: the happiness of being part of an important mission, of lending one’s image to a noble cause, of being the testimonials of a campaign that really shifts figures and interventions.

It is the initiative that AIL, Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphomas and Myeloma, has been organizing for 28 years to support research aimed at combating these diseases. Placed under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, it consists in offering a chocolate egg marked with the AIL logo to those who pay a minimum membership fee of 12 euros.

This year, the campaign will take place from March 19th to April 4th, with “hybrid” methods, taking into account the current health emergency situation. The squares, at least some, will still be, as usual, the place where Easter sweets will be sold to those who want to participate in the fundraising. But direct exchange will not be possible throughout Italy. For those who will not be able to meet the volunteers of the Association in person, it will be possible to buy eggs dedicated to the cause, through the site www.ail.it and at the clickable address here where there is a detailed map to contact the provincial section closest to you.

The telephone number 06/70386013 will also be available, active from Monday 15 March to Sunday 21 March (from 9 to 17), for even more detailed information on the initiatives of Ail.
The Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphomas and Myeloma, we remember, was born on April 8, 1969 in Rome and today it is a reality present throughout the national territory. It carries out activities in favor of the sick in collaboration with public structures, both university and hospital; it is based on the autonomy of the individual provincial offices and on the principle that funds are spent, in a transparent way, where they are collected.

It has 82 provincial sections and 20,000 volunteers. Among its aims, financing research on haematological diseases, organizing the home care service for adults and children, creating Ail housing-accommodation, supporting teaching and play within hospitals, managing listening and counseling desks for patients. and family members.
