TRENTO. The vaccination marathon is about to arrive. The health company is developing the machine that formally kicks off today, when from 6 pm it will be possible to reserve a seat between 4 and 8 December for those who have to take the third dose or those who have not yet taken the first.
The Province wishes that one hundred thousand people from Trentino receive the new dose in four days. A shock mass that will not be easy to manage, but even yesterday, a public holiday, we were working to get to the appointment in the best possible way. Also by increasing the vaccination centers.
A center will be set up in Lavis, in the industrial area, where the Civil Protection headquarters are located, which will be added to the twenty or so centers already in operation.
The workers of the sector are called to an extraordinary effort: for 5 days the administration centers distributed throughout the provincial territory will remain open from 6 in the morning until midnight and according to the Province there will be 500 health workers employed per day.
The Company recalls that it is hours also subject to reservations, because if in some peripheral areas in the evening there are no reservations, the centers will obviously be closed early, for this reason there is an invitation to those who have to take the first dose, who does not need to book, to in any case resort to the online cup to facilitate the operators in the organization.
As for the type of vaccine for this third dose it should largely be “Modern” (to make the “heterologous” vaccination, ie with different vaccines, considered more effective), while for the first doses it should be “Pfizer”, also if not, this will be the case for all the hundred thousand screened in vaccination centers this week.
Meanwhile, the “call to arms” is not making the workers happy, called to an additional effort, in a stalemate for the contract renewal, while the pharmacists are asking for greater involvement. And there are some problems. Citizens who are unable to book other non-covid appointments, or the Trec app of smartphones that refuses to let subscribers access. A problem perhaps also linked to the fact that about ten days ago the management of the Trec application changed and therefore not everything is fine-tuned. Which it brought considerable inconvenience also to bookings for visits and exams: reservations that have disappeared from the “my appointments” section, or are binding that cannot be booked because they are “already paid or booked in another region”. Hopefully everything will be sorted out by tonight.
