General medicine training. No incompatibility with conventional assignments even for new students enrolled in three-year courses

Minister Speranza extended the measure that also allows those enrolled in the three-year courses 2020-2023 and 2021-2024 to “maintain the conventional positions in place at the time of enrollment”. THE DECREE

24 SET – No incompatibility between those who will attend the three-year training courses in general medicine 2020-2023 and 2021-2024 and the conventional positions held by them. This was established by a new decree of the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza just published in the Official Gazette, which extended the measure already envisaged for those enrolled in the three-year period 2019-2022 and which allows “maintaining the conventional positions referred to in the national collective agreement for discipline of relations with general practitioners, including positions in the field of penitentiary medicine, existing at the time of enrollment, notwithstanding the provisions of art. 11 of the decree of the Minister of Health of 7 March 2006 and which considers to all intents and purposes the hours of activity carried out by the same doctors as practical activities “.

“There remains – the provision reads – the need to avoid serious disruptions in the various areas of general medicine, aggravated by the ongoing health emergency and the chronic shortage of general practitioners, ensuring primary and territorial continuity of care, and that makes it necessary again to derogate, for doctors who enroll in the specific training course in general medicine relating to the three-year period 2020-2023 and the three-year period 2021-2024 “
