We receive and publish the report of one of our readers regarding a health disservice.
Good morning, my name is Maria Maddalena Del Giudice and I live in the municipality of Porto Azzurro, I would like to report a health disservice. On the morning of August 14th my son went to the emergency room where he was placed 6 stitches for a wound under his foot (we had to pay a ticket of 25.00 euros I wonder why we pay the taxes for health care ). Now my son has to remove these points and in the meantime our GP has retired and the health company told us that they have a replacement doctor who comes to Porto Azzurro for 2 hours a week (ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT US CITIZENS PAY TAXES FOR ADEQUATE HEALTH ASSISTANCE), so my son if he wants to remove the points or goes to the Cavo tomorrow for a moment or waits for Tuesday for the doctor to come to Porto Azzurro (I must say very kind person since we have not yet registered with he). Would it be possible to know from the health company how so many people who are unable to go to various municipalities in Elba can do to be examined by the doctor if they feel sick on days other than Tuesday (not by phone as I was answered at the ABSURD counter)? Thanks.
