Gimbe foundation alarm: in Trentino infections are increasing and vaccinations are decreasing (and we are last in Italy for completed doses) – News

TRENTO. In the Province of Trento, in the week from 21 to 27 July, it is registered “a worsening performance for currently positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants (65) and it highlights an increase in new cases (58.8%) compared to the previous week. The population over 80 who has completed the vaccination cycle is equal to 94.4% (Italy average 92%) to which an additional 2.8% (Italy average 2.7%) must be added with the first dose only.

The population aged 60-69 who has completed the vaccination cycle is equal to 77% (Italian average 74.6%) to which an additional 5.5% (Italian average 9.5%) must be added with the first dose only.

The population over 60 who did not receive any vaccine dose was 11.7% (Italy average 11.5%). In the end, the population 12-19 years that did not receive any vaccine dose was 76.3% (Italy average 68.5%). Which represents a problem for a reopening in safety and in the presence of schools, in a month.

Even in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, in the week 21-27 July, a worsening performance was recorded for currently positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants (55) and there was an increase in new cases (4.4%) compared to the previous week. The number of beds in the medical and intensive care area occupied by Covid patients is below saturation threshold. The population that has completed the vaccination cycle is 49.3% (Italian average 52.3%) to which a further 5.8% (Italian average 11.3%) must be added with the first dose only. The population over 80 who has completed the vaccination cycle is equal to 86.1% (Italian average 92%) to which an additional 3.3% (Italian average 2.7%) must be added with the first dose only. The 70-79 year old population who completed the vaccination cycle was 79.3% (Italy average 84.5%) to which a further 3.2% (Italy average 4.7%) must be added with the first dose only.
