Global Fund: devastating impact of Covid on HIV, malaria and tuberculosis

A drastic and tiring decline to digest because it sounds like a giant step back from the painstaking progress made in recent years in the treatment of HIV, malaria and tuberculosis. The turnaround is another of the many ‘side effects’ of the Covid-19 emergency and is accounted for by the Global Fund which, since its establishment in 2002, has saved 44 million lives by decreasing, in the over 100 countries where invests, the number of deaths caused by AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria by 46%.
