Google recently announced that the company will scrap the Android Auto application on Android 12. However, it appears that the application will continue to run on models that do not run Android 12. On the contrary, Google seems to replace everything with an intelligent assistant, something I wrote before. The company stated as follows:
The Google Assistant driving mode is our next evolution of the mobile driving experience. For those who use Android Auto in a supported vehicle, this experience will not go away.
For users who use the mobile experience (Android Auto mobile app), they will switch to Google Assistant driving mode. Starting from Android 12, Google Assistant driving mode will become a built-in mobile driving experience. Currently we have no more details to share.
