Boom in bookings, Son: “From + 15% to + 200%”
“We have registered a boom in bookings ranging from + 15% to + 200% according to the Regions”, the extraordinary commissioner for the emergency, Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, explained to Tg5. “In Friuli Venezia Giulia – he added – we recorded a + 6 thousand%”.
The government’s choice therefore produced the desired effect: to encourage vaccination and avoid having to close a series of activities in the middle of summer due to the new increase in infections due to the spread of Delta variant which, as confirmed by the latest monitoring, is now predominant in Italy. And the change of parameters, widely agreed with the Regions also in the percentages, made it possible not to trigger the yellow zone for Lazio, Veneto, Sicily and Sardinia.
The booking boom started immediately after the press conference of Prime Minister Mario Draghi: in Lombardy the bookings went from 28 thousand to 62 thousand in 24 hours while both in Piedmont and Campania there was a doubling compared to the last few days: from 10 to 20 thousand respectively and from 5 to 10 thousand. Almost exponential increases also in Abruzzo and Friuli Venezia Giulia while Puglia recorded a + 10%.
In Veneto the president Luca Zaia speaks of “assault on diligence” and in Lazio 55 thousand have booked, almost ten times more: “A really encouraging result”, says the councilor for health, Alessio D’Amato. The goal now is to continue on this path, pushing both on young people (for whom the Moderna vaccine can also be used after the EMA’s green light for the over 12) and on the almost 5 million over 50 who are still reluctant to get vaccinated, guaranteeing doses for everyone.

The same leader of the Brothers of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, while reiterating that he will be vaccinated and not be no vax, attacks Mario Draghi. “His are words of terror. The green pass has become the new mantra to be imposed, the rest does not count. We are picking on our rule of law, this is not freedom”.
