Ribbon cutting yesterday morning in the Exp Area in Cerea, for the expansion of the territorial functional aggregation (Aft) which brings together the 13 general practitioners on duty in the Municipalities of Cerea, Casaleone and Sanguinetto. The health center inaugurated in 2017, which serves a pool of 25 thousand users, had shown critical issues from the point of view of the available surface right from the start. In particular, patients complained of little space in the waiting room and consequently the lack of privacy when talking to the secretaries at the reception about their health problems. The expansion, which cost 250 thousand euros entirely to be paid for by the Municipality of Cerea, therefore served to create a new reception – at the entrance of which there is a new totem useful for booking visits with your doctor and requesting prescriptions for chronic therapies – three clinics, a meeting room for doctors, new toilets, a changing room and a relaxation room for staff breaks. “This intervention”, began the mayor Marco Franzoni flanked by the councilor for public works Bruno Fanton and other administrators, “represents a further development of a structure that in the coming years we aim to further grow by equipping it with new services”. Senator Cristiano Zuliani and the vice president of the Veneto Region Elisa De Berti were also present at the inauguration. The latter thanked the nursing and medical staff for their daily commitment to their activities. “We are faced with an efficient group medicine and this is certainly thanks to the people who work there,” said De Berti. Representing Ulss 9 was the director general Pietro Girardi, who reiterated how “this kind of activity represents the future of territorial medicine, a way to continue”. The coordinator of general practitioners Giorgio Barini is also satisfied: «We are sure that with future expansions, Cerea will be increasingly central in the provision of health services. We already have a project to carry out that aims at patient literacy. ”•.
