Hacker group threatens attacks on the Italian healthcare sector - Hi-tech

Threats of hacker attacks on the Italian health care sector appeared on a poster issued by the ‘Groove cyber crime group’, a criminal ‘crew’ that called together other similar groups to respond to the actions carried out by US agencies against ‘Revil’ , a Russian-based gang specializing in ransomware and held responsible for last May’s attack on the Colonial Pipeline in the United States.

The intent is to hit the US and its allies. Sources in the Italian health sector – ANSA learns – reported that the National Cybersecurity Agency has already alerted potential targets about possible risks for days, suggesting adequate countermeasures to counter the possible attack.
