He stole a mobile phone, an iPhone13 worth around 1000 euros from the gym bench while the rightful owner was training. A few days later, however, the same phone was found in his pockets. The 47-year-old from Inverigo was summoned to the barracks by the carabinieri, for which the complaint for aggravated theft was then taken, he had his mobile phone stolen … in his pocket.
The theft
The facts date back to a few days ago and took place in Seregno: after the incident the boy who was the victim of the theft went to the police station to file a complaint. And the investigations began. The military ascertained that the smartphone was never turned off and the signal came from an area on the border with Brianza, in the Como area. It was the examination of the list of those enrolled at the center that gave a turning point to the investigation. In fact, among the gym-goers there was also the 47-year-old from Inverigo who allegedly made access in the hours compatible with the theft.
Summoned to the barracks, the man denied having anything to do with the disappearance of the object but still had the phone from the theft in his pocket. Once at home, where the carabinieri followed him explaining that he would be subjected to a search, the 47-year-old tried to hide him among the notifications and here the military found him shortly after. A complaint was filed for the man, residing in Inverigo, with a clean record. He will have to answer for aggravated theft.
