This is also due to the reduced glycemic index and the control of blood sugars, which would make it ideal for those suffering from hyperglycemia. Furthermore, it seems that this fruit is also particularly useful for memory and cognitive abilities. To make it, you will first need to wash 1 kg of blueberries and then let them dry on a kitchen towel. After that, pour them into a saucepan, adding half a kg of sugar, the juice of one lemon and a little grated zest. We mix everything and leave to flavor for about 3 hours.

After the necessary time, put the container back on the fire and let it cook for about 30 minutes over low heat. During cooking it is important to stir often and, if it turns out to be too liquid, increase the flame. Once the desired consistency is reached, pour the hot mixture into the previously sterilized glass jars. Let it cool down to room temperature and then close the jars hermetically.
