Here comes the smart t-shirt that works with 5G – Hi-tech

by admin

T-shirts are becoming smarter to monitor vital signs, as if they were a smartwatch, and now they also incorporate 5G. At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, ā€‹ā€‹a smart t-shirt was launched as a result of the collaboration between ZTE and the AccYouRate group.

Inside the fabric there are GPS, humidity, temperature, accelerometer sensors and, thanks to ZTE, a communications giant, a 5G antenna, with which to collect vital information and send it faster to a control center. The latter is represented by a control unit, a Smart Tag which incorporates the AccYouRate logo and which has the task of receiving and sending data.

The idea is that soon anyone, perhaps starting from those with special needs, can wear connected and intelligent clothing, useful for analyzing the physical state and launching alerts in the event of the first signs of non-optimal health states.

The AccYouRate technology allows this set of microchips to be enclosed in a material that can be applied anywhere, from T-shirts to trousers, to clothing already made and others in development, such as gloves, shoe insoles, headbands and sensorized masks. made in Italy with ISO-10993-1 certification, washable and reusable. It is a polymer that does not hinder various detection indices, such as a real electrocardiogram, breathing, sweat components, muscular effort, temperature, then transmitting the data via ultra-fast 5G ZTE connection for subsequent processing.

In the near future, AccYouRate intends to develop new types of sensors and wearable products, capable of analyzing multiple parameters, such as dynamic posture and brain waves.

ā€œWe are particularly proud to be partners of this extraordinary innovation – ha
declared Peng Aiguang, SVP of ZTE Corporation and President Europe and Americas
Region, of the Chinese telecommunications giant – We firmly believe that ours
5G technology is the key to improving the quality of life “.
ā€œIt is an invention that will change the life and quality of home and remote care for many
citizens experiencing health problems and vulnerable people with chronic diseases,
ensuring accessibility to the assistance and support services of our national network and
international – said Francesco Rocca, President of the Italian Red Cross, and President of
IFRC – ā€œWe have been working on the project since 2018 and be able to present the results of this important event today
experimentation, born in the most difficult moment of the Covid emergency, allows us to think with
pride in the progress made so far and to look to the future with the hope and certainty of having given
demonstration of the commitment, ability and dedication of the Red Cross network, in the use and in the
diffusion of new technologies at the service of the person and society “.
“Right from the start – underlined Umberto Sgambati, CEO of the Proger spa Group who, through the Start-Up Let’s Web-earable Solutions, created the sensorized” SmartTshirt “- we believed and invested in what seemed to us a totally revolutionary, and which today is a concrete reality, just certified as a Medical Device, and which has been enriched with the predictive algorithms of cardiovascular disorders of BSP-Medical, an Israeli company, world leader in the field of Medical Data Science “.
ā€œWe believe in talent and talents – added Hu Kun, CEO of ZTE Italy and President of ZTE
Western Europe – and we intend to continue making our contribution to technological development a
Italian matrix and of global significance. For this reason, starting next autumn,
we will launch a test action on YouCare within our 5G Innovation and Research Center located in L’Aquila ā€.
