Among the thirty non-legal members, the presence of the three members of the outgoing Presidential Committee is confirmed. Many new faces, including Enrico Gherlone, rector of the Vitae Salute San Raffaele University in Milan. Among the new entries there is also the pulmonologist Luca Richeldi (Policlinico Gemelli), who has long been a well-known face on TV for his interventions on Covid and the general director of the ISS, Andrea Piccioli. Once installed, the new CSS will appoint the new Presidential Committee and the heads of the 5 sections into which it is divided. THE DECREE
01 MAR – The new Higher Health Council is ready. The Minister of Health, Roberto Speranzasigned the decree by which the members were appointed not by law of the minister’s technical-scientific advisory body, which expresses an opinion at the request of the same and in the cases expressly established by law, in any other case in which the general directorates request it for the adoption of regulatory or administrative measures and in the eventuality that the court requests consultation of the body to decide disputes.
The Superior Health Council is made up of thirty non-legal members, identified from university professors, managers of a complex structure of the national health service. Among these, we find thirteen new entries such as Enrico Gherlonerector of the Vitae Salute San Raffaele University of Milan and member of the technical table of dentistry set up for the Covid period at the Ministry of Health by Undersecretary Sileri.
Among the new members also the pulmonologist Luca Richeldi (Gemelli Polyclinic), a well-known face of TV for some time for its interventions on Covid e Andrea Piccioli, director general of the ISS. Besides them, the other new faces are: Renato Bernardini, Giovannella Baggio, Maria Rosaria Capobianchi, Filippo Crea, Maria Del Zompo, Paolo Antonio Grossi, Cristina Mecucci, Anna Odone, Eleonora Porcu e Giulia Veronesi.
Another 30 members from the Ministry of Health, the professional associations and the main health organizations in the country are members by right.
Once in office, the new Higher Health Council will appoint the president (Locatelli presided over the previous one) and the other offices.
