Tokyo Game Show 2021, one of the annual events, Japan Game Awards (Japan Game Awards) announced today (2) the project of the year, “War Ghosts of the Horse” and “Rise of the Monster Hunter” are tied for the biggest awards!
According to the official reason for the award, “War Ghosts on the Horse” has been appreciated by most players through overwhelmingly high-quality exquisite graphics, epic game plots, and diverse action scenes.
“The Rise of Monster Hunter” successfully responded to players’ expectations and brought a new hunting experience. During the general voting period, it won praises such as “series of favorite works” and “God Game”, and won the award with overwhelming support.
Incidentally, the general award is usually won by one game. The last two games were tied for the award in 2014. The award winners of that year were Capcom “Monster Hunter 4” and Level-5 “Youkai Watch”.
Coincidentally, 2014 was also the last time the “Monster Hunter” series won an award.
Japan Game Awards 2021, the system counts products sold in Japan from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. Through the open voting in the first stage, the final review will be conducted by the Japan Game Awards Jury.
