For the third consecutive year, Pope John XXIII of Bergamo is confirmed among the top 250 hospitals in the world. The Bergamo hospital is included in the ranking of the World‘s Best Hospitals 2022,
the ranking by the prestigious US magazine Newsweek in collaboration with Statista, a leading data processor, which examines 2,200 facilities in 27 countries around the world.
The ranking is based on 3 factors:
the opinion of medical experts and the world of hospital health, the results of patient satisfaction surveys and the degree of achievement of international quality standards, such as patient safety, hygiene measures and the quality of treatments. Pope John XXIII of Bergamo is
one of the 4 public hospitals of the Lombardy Region
to be included in this prestigious ranking.
“The confirmation of our recognition among the best hospitals in Italy and in the world in such a prestigious international ranking is a source of pride for us -. commented Maria Beatrice Stasi, general director of Asst Papa Giovanni XXIII -.
Our professionals, doctors, nurses, health workers, administrators and technicians deserve the enormous credit for having been able to maintain the good level of quality and the offer of care for non-Covid diseases, even in these two difficult years of pandemic ».
The ranking is added to the World‘s Best Specialized Hospitals 2022 (best specialized hospitals in the world) again by Newsweek in collaboration with Statista,
which last year saw some operational units of Pope John XXIII included in the ranking.
These are Cardiology (among the first 200 centers in the world), Cardiac Surgery (among the first 150 structures) and Gastroenterology (among the best 125 centers in the world).
