Although Huawei has released the Hongmeng 2.0 system and has begun to provide updates to many old phones, it has also been used on newly released products. However, not all newly released Huawei products are pre-loaded with Harmony 2.0. The Nova 8 SE Vitality Edition released yesterday is an exception, which still pre-loads the Android-based EMUI 10.1 user interface.
The Nova 8 SE Vitality Edition is a brand new version of the Nova 8 SE released in November last year. The new machine changed from using MediaTek Dimensity 720 and 800U processors last year to using its own Kirin 710A processor, with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Although the mobile phone belongs to the Nova 8 SE series, the back of the active version has a new design. The original four-lens camera has only three lenses, namely 48MP main camera, 2MP macro and 2MP depth-of-field lens, and the front selfie lens is 16MP.
The Nova 8 SE Active Edition is equipped with a 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD screen, built-in 4,000mAh battery and supports 40W fast charging. Other functional configurations of this 4G phone include Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, 3.5mm headphone jack and set-top speakers. The Nova 8 SE Vitality Edition is available in silver and black. The price is RMB 1,899 (equivalent to HK$2,270). It is now available for pre-order in the Chinese market.
