Huawei Consumer Business Group returns to Italy with a new smartphone, still with the Android operating system on board, instead of the more recent HarmonyOS. The choice of the Chinese giant in the blacklist of the US government since Trump is to try to put the smartphone back at the center after the losses of this last year precisely due to the trade war that began in 2019. “Only in Italy – said Pier Giorgio Furcas, Deputy General Manager Huawei Consumer Business Groupcome – we have 10 million people using our smartphones. With nova 9, we aim to keep this path constant, which demonstrates how our innovation responds to people’s wishes and needs ». As if to say, if we have held in these two years it is also thanks to the Huawei ecosystem.
How is nova 9 made?
Huawei nova 9 debuts a number of new technologies for its 50-megapixel main sensor four-camera system, including the RYYB color filter array (CFA) and the XD Fusion Engine. The photographic sector is completed by an 8 Mp wide-angle lens, a 2 Mp l (f / 2.2) depth sensor with Bokeh effect and another 2 Mpixel (f / 2.4) with macro. The display is curved from 6.57 inches and with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Under the body there is the Snapdragon 778G processor and there is support for fast charging at 66 W SuperCharge. The chip is complemented by a cooling system, which combines VC Liquid Cooling and graphene for heat dissipation during the most energy-consuming activities.
The app node
At the operating system level, there is the customized version of Android, known as EMUI 11, still without the Google apps and all those that use the services of the American giant to work (such as Waze). However, it remains possible to download new applications from AppGallery, the proprietary store, which over time has become a stable alternative to the PlayStore. Just recently, AppGallery reached 560 million monthly active users, supported by 5.1 million registered developers and partners.
