Influenza, Molise and Basilicata, lowest incidence in Italy – News – Molise

Influnet epidemiological report 13-19 December

(ANSA) – CAMPOBASSO, 24 DEC – The Higher Institute of Health (Iss) has released the ‘Influnet’ report on the trend of influenza in Italy. In Molise, in the week between 13 and 19 December, 11 general practitioners (Mmg) and free choice pediatricians (Pls) ‘sentinel’ who transmitted data, for a total of 12,164 patients, were reported 12 cases (incidence 0.99 per thousand – Italy 4.42), the lowest in Italy after Basilicata (0.71). The report shows that the age group most affected is 5-14 years (5.08), followed by 15-64 (0.86) and over 65 (0.63). No flu episodes were reported in the 0-4 year range, the only case among the regions, Calabria and Valle d’Aosta are missing, which have activated the Influnet surveillance. (HANDLE).
