by admin

Earlier, the iPhone 13 was officially released, accompanied by the iOS 15 update, but the update also allowed users to discover that they could not use the Apple Watch to unlock their phones. Recently, Apple released iOS 15.1 Beta 2, and it is known that this feature has been fixed.

Using Apple Watch to unlock the phone while wearing a mask is a relief function that Face ID cannot be used during the epidemic. A technical document issued by Apple on September 26 pointed out that the iPhone 13 confirmed that the words “Unable to Communicate with Apple Watch” may appear, and this issue will be resolved in an update. Users who have not updated can directly enter “Settings”, in “Face ID and Password”, turn off the Apple Watch unlock function, and use the password to unlock.

And since iOS 15.1 Beta 2 was released on September 29th, foreign users said that Apple Watch can operate normally with this version, and I believe that it will be fully supported in the soon official version of iOS 15.1.
