It will be possible to save Facebook posts and notes on other platforms

by admin

Facebook has announced a tool to export posts and notes to external platforms. This functionality is part of the Menlo Park company’s efforts in the Data Transfer Project launched in 2018 with the aim of creating an open source platform for the portability of data from one service to another, to ensure that users can easily transfer their information between platforms without running into compatibility problems.

This addition extends the previously announced features to transfer photos and videos to Backblaze, Dropbox, Google Photos and Koofr.

Users will be able to access this feature by following this simple procedure:

– Go to Facebook.com
– Click on the arrow that opens the drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the window, next to the notification menu
– Click on Settings e Privacy, then on Settings
– From the menu on the left in the page that appears, click on Your information on Facebook
– Then click on Transfer a copy of your information
– You will be prompted to enter the password, then you will be able to access the export tool.

The new feature is not yet available for Italian users, but it is already possible to transfer photos and videos to other platforms.

Google, Microsoft, Apple and Twitter are also part of the Data Transfer Project, a project that is still under intense development and has seen 40 contributors from partners and the open source community write further 50,000 lines of code in more than 1,500 files.
