What is Hodgkin’s lymphoma and how is it recognized
When we talk about lymphoma, we describe a type of cancer that attacks the body’s lymphatic system. These neoplasms are mainly divided into two broad categories: Hodgkin’s lymphomas and non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. The latter have a higher incidence in the population diagnosed with this form of cancer. In Hodgkin’s lymphoma, cancer cells originate in the lymph nodes and can spread to other areas through the lymphatic vessels. This relatively rare tumor can occur at any time during a lifetime. However, a more marked incidence occurs at a young age, ie in people between 20 and 30 years, or in people over 60. Furthermore, there are more cases in men than in women.
