The idea of Tune Flex is similar to what other brands are after today: achieving the best of both worlds between active noise cancellation and open listening. Unlike Sony’s approach with the LinkBuds, the JBL lets you decide on the settings for each occasion, and to that end, it allows six “modes” and includes three pairs of sealed and open ear pads, the latter of which leave your ears free. The app-controlled Sound Fit feature then adjusts the environment to the user’s preference.
The 4-mic ANC JBL Tune Flex, formerly codenamed Tune 330, lasts 8 hours per charge, plus 24 hours in the carrying case. According to the brand, they will be released in Europe in mid-August for around 99 euros in three colors, along with three transparent Ghost versions “to show everything we’ve tucked inside.”
For sporty users, JBL has also introduced (and released for about 149 euros) a more durableReflect Aero, from now on, it’s slightly lower than the Reflect Flow Pro as a mid-range offering.
