“Starting from solid foundation of the Unreal Engine, which has allowed us to recreate and significantly improve the expressions of the players, we have made numerous changes to create a new football graphics engine that will support eFootball in the years to come – explained Seitaro Kimura, digital entertainment producer of the series – Thanks to power offered by next-generation consoles and to the work carried out in close contact with elite footballers, eFootball offers the most intense and realistic gameplay we’ve ever made. We will show the gameplay in detail next month. “

Thanks to the new and advanced football graphics engine, even the animations have been overhauled and improved. A new technology converts the vast range of movements that players perform on the pitch into a series of animations, selecting the most accurate in real time. According to Konami, the system would guarantee a number of animations 4 times higher than in the past, reaching a level of realism never seen before. The technology will be included on all platforms, from the latest generation consoles to computers and mobile devices.

As mentioned, eFootball Sara free-to-play on all platforms, but more details on gameplay and online game modes will be revealed in late August.

The company explained that “by uniting the global community for the first time, eFootball will offer the same highly realistic esports experience on console, computers and mobile devices, including full post-launch support for cross-play “and also published a roadmap of sorts (image above) with the first details on the contents available immediately and on what will be added in the following months.
