In short, from “The Real Race”, the virtual single-brand championship that debuted in 2020, the path has been completed to the international ESports competitions. The three drivers chosen to represent the brand in the most important international eSports competitions? They are Jordan Sherratt, Gianfranco Giglioli and Giorgio Simonini.

Drivers obviously caught among the console phenomena. Sherratt, South African born in 1999, for example, dominated the last edition of “The Real Race”, winning fifteen races out of seventeen and winning nine pole positions out of ten available …. The ruler of the second edition of the Lamborghini esports championship for the Emea region, put on the bulletin board after the third place in 2020, he is an ideal standard-bearer for the team, both for the qualities shown on the field during these two seasons and for being a great fan of the Lamborghini brand.
The second selected talent is Gianfranco Giglioli, a twenty-four year old Italian-Venezuelan driver already established in the sim racing universe. He was one of the first virtual drivers to participate in the Formula 1 Esports Series, finishing in eighth place in the inaugural season. In 2020 he finished fifth in the first edition of “The Real Race”, while in the same year he established himself in the Porsche Esports Carrera Cup Italia.

It starts immediately with the Sherratt and Giglioli duo in the GT World Challenge Esports Sprint Series Europe; Simonini will join the couple to form the crew that will participate in the Intercontinental GT Challenge Esports 2022 endurance championship. And then it will be a continuous commitment because the Sprint calendar is made up of five races and starts on April 6 with the Misano race. The last appointment is set for August 3, with the grand finale scheduled in the virtual version of the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza.
The Intercontinental GT Challenge Esports kicks off on April 16 with the Bathurst 12 Hours, the famous Australian endurance race. Also in this case the calendar is made up of five appointments, with the competition ending on August 27 with the 9 Hours of Kyalami.
