LAMEZIA TERME COUNCILORS RAISE CONCERNS OVER POOR CONDITIONS AT MUNICIPAL GYM

Lamezia Terme – City councilors Antonietta D’Amico and Antonio Mastroianni have voiced their concerns over the deteriorating conditions at the “Saverio Gatti” municipal gym. According to the councilors, the gym has been plagued with a series of disservices that are in urgent need of intervention to improve the situation.

The councilors highlighted several critical issues that have been repeatedly reported to the municipal administration and the competent manager, but have remained unaddressed. They expressed worries about the presence of rubbish along the access road and in the poorly lit external square, creating an unwelcoming environment around the gym. Additionally, they noted the limited availability of hot water for showers and insufficient internal cleaning, causing discomfort for frequent users.

The “Saverio Gatti” municipal gym is not only used by local residents but also by visiting teams for competitions, making it an important representation of the city. The councilors emphasized the need for measures to guarantee a decent training and competition environment for all attending athletes. They urged the administration and the municipal manager to take these problems seriously and adopt the necessary measures to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all users of the city sports facility.

The councilors’ appeal comes as a call to action for the authorities to address the pressing issues at the municipal gym and to prioritize the well-being of all its users. They hope for a prompt and effective response to ensure the improvement of the gym’s conditions and to maintain its standing as a reputable sports facility in the city.
