This year has been a very big one for World of Warcraft, as not only has Blizzard confirmed that the Dragonflight expansion pack for the main game is coming this year, but the developer also intends to bring Wrath of the Lich King Classic to World of Warcraft: Classic.
With the return of this iconic expansion later this year, the California-based developer has released the first of a series of videos in which members of the development team talk about the creation of the expansion in the late 2000s.
Starring Art Director Ely Cannon, Lead Level Designer Sarah Boulian Verrall, and even Overwatch 2 Game Director Aaron Keller, the video discusses the relationship between level design and art, how each location in Northrend came to be, creating the entire Expansion pack challenges, even how the story of the developer’s own life plays out, and more.
