Long covid also affects vaccinated people: but the risk is lower and only in one case out of 10

The risk of long covid persists even in vaccinated people and symptoms can appear for up to six months after infection. This is confirmed by a large study of over 13 million veterans conducted by the University of Washington School of Medicine in St. Louis and published in Nature Medicine.

In vaccinated people who still become infected, the risk of long covid is reduced by 15% compared to unvaccinated people and 8-12% of those who are immunized can potentially develop it.
