Mandrake, the poisonous plant similar to spinach: symptoms of poisoning

It looks a bit like spinach, but can also be mistaken for borage or even wild chard. But the mandrake – a spontaneous herb of the Solanaceae family, very widespread throughout the Mediterranean – to which magical properties were attributed in the Middle Ages, is a poisonous and toxic plant, especially the part of the roots, but also leaves and flowers due to the presence of alkaloids.
