“Since taking my drops every night, my life has changed.” Mara Ribera lives in Milan and has lived with chronic pain for thirty years. “I have always suffered from headaches and for decades I lived a life of hell, I tried any drug but nothing could make me feel better”. Until the discovery of medical cannabis at the Niguarda Hospital: “It finally allowed me a normal life, an unexpected result”, explains Ribera. However, he underlines the limits of the Italian situation: “Medical cannabis in Italy is not yet accepted, many doctors refuse to prescribe it and those who live in small towns are pointed out as addicts”.
