With Campania in the “white zone”, the Air implements the connections of the Mercogliano-Montevergine funicular. Starting from Monday – June 28, 2021 – the exercise program with summer schedules will be implemented.
One of the goals of the Sole Director, Anthony Acconcia, is to further enhance and enhance the Mercogliano-Montevergine funicular making it work all year round, supporting the natural vocation of religious tourism.
For this reason, during the summer season that has just begun, travel flows and the demand for mobility in the future will be monitored.
From Monday 28 June the funicular will be in operation 7 days a week, with runs only in the morning from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, travel is up to 7pm.
From Monday to Friday there are 9 trips per day. Connections every 45 minutes in the range 8.30-14.15.
Departures: 8.30 – 9.15 – 10.00 – 10.45 – 11.30 – 12.15 – 13.00 – 13.30 – 14.15.
On Saturday there will be 15 Mercogliano-Montevergine races, which will also cover the afternoon slot.
Departures: 8.30 – 9.15 – 10.00 – 10.45 – 11.30 – 12.15 – 13.00 – 13.45 – 14.30 – 15.15 – 16.00 – 16.45 – 17.30 – 18.15 – 19.00.
Further expansion on Sundays and holidays, with 21 trips and connections every 30 minutes:
Departures: 8.30 – 9.00 – 9.30 – 10.00 – 10.30 – 11.00 – 11.30 – 12.00 – 12.30 – 13.00 – 13.30 – 14.00 – 14.45 – 15.30 – 16.00 – 16.30 – 17.00 – 17.30 – 18.00 – 18.30 – 19.00.

Meanwhile, taking into account the provisions of the Prime Ministerial Decree of 2 March 2021 and the decisions of the Conference of Regions relating to local public transport in the “white zone”, the Air announces that its capacity has increased by 80% places indicated on the registration certificate.
The use of a mask on board remains mandatory – in compliance with anti-Covid measures – for the entire duration of the trip.
