Meta’s (and others) idea to counter the revenge porn phenomenon

After years of work, the British organization Revenge Porn Helpline has made public a tool that wants to make it more difficult for the online circulation of non-consensual intimate material: it’s called StopNcii.org.

The system, which is based on a pilot program launched by Facebook in Australia in 2017, allows people who are concerned that a sexual photo or video of themselves will be shared without their consent to send the content in question to a centralized website.
